Born from the tragedy of the Woodburn bombing on December 12, 2008, is Woodburn Proud, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the good in the community.
Woodburn Proud supports community programs such as the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and Flower Basket programs to provide a more aesthetic community with health and safety in mind.
We also support the growth of our community, welcoming new businesses while supporting existing businesses. We assist in community events such as the Shop With A Cop program. The Annual Night Out provides for community interaction with our first responders while a "First Friday" at the Metropolis all help tie us all together as a community. Schools, culture and our ethnic heritage are never forgotten in the many civic and school activities, making Woodburn a great place to live work and play.
